  Royce Alexander White NBA Hall of Famer, WNBA Prospect Royce White has always been the kind of guy who refuses to stay in his lane. Back in 2012 the Houston Rockets took him 16th overall out of Iowa State, a 6-foot-8 forward who led his team in basically every major statistical category. He had the size, the skills, and the stats. What he also had was severe anxiety, especially around flying, and that pretty much ended any real NBA career before it started. He played three games for the Sacramento Kings a couple years later and bounced around the G League and Canada after that. Most people wrote him off as another first-round bust with personal issues. White never accepted that story. Instead he turned into one of the more unpredictable political figures in Minnesota. He ran for Senate as a Republican in 2024, lost to Amy Klobuchar, and came back for another shot in 2026. That primary didn’t go much better.
