A prop from the 1939 film, Wizard of Oz, sold at an auction for $495,000. The prop that sold for almost
half a million dollars was the hour glass that the Wicked Witch of the West used to taunt Dorothy as
they try to escape.
Even though, many variations of the hour glass were made, the one that sold for a hefty price was
made out of wood and paper-mache.
